Dan-o, I use the Comixology Apps (this includes their main app, the Marvel app and the DC app). If you ever have a prob with their apps just go to the send feed back button at the bottom of the main app page and send them a quick note. They usually get back to you super quick.

I've taken over miki's Ipad and have downloaded all of the free ones I can get but i refuse to pay for apple things since i'm cheap and haven't learned how to yet. But being in a new city myself I'm not very accustomed to knowing where the good comic shop is.

you know, I generally don't like either Quietely or Morrison, but All Star is excellent. compare All Star to the new X-men in both art and writing and you would be hardpressed to say that they had the same creative teams.

Yes, Dominic, meaning "belonging to God" in Latin is the greatest of all male names. Think of the dom suffix...DOMINION, DOMINANT, DOMINATE, etc...it basically means "move out of the way, I'm here now".

Parents name their son Dominic because "God" isn't a name. Women love the name...it is both masculine & feminine. It commands respect. It has 3 syllables. My surname has 2 syllables...3 syllables followed by 2 is phonetically the most impressive sounding apparently. It rolls off the tongue & introduces an awesome presence.

The name Dominic intrigues, it's uncommon, exotic, classy. It is a name that inspires confidence & trust, yet is playful & sweet.

@Jeff The original Amazing Spider-Man stuff (main universe) stuff is my favorite too. It is quite difficult for me to get into Ultimate stuff, but some of the art drags me in.

Looking forward to where Bendis is going with this new character. I didn't care for the "Waiting for Superman" copy-catting, not for any political reasons, but it just seemed that Bendis saw that movie, sat there smiley-faced, staring at the screen, and then, once it was over, ran with a big grin to his keyboard and said, "THAT was really moving! I'm gonna copy that EXACTLY, because I want to be that moving!"

Meh. I like his original stuff better. Anyway, the rest of the book was great, so I hope that's the end of Bendis's non-original work.

when reading this post i also jumped way to deep into the meaning of it im sure but i had to Wiki it and it actually seems like a very common theme that people use the number 42 to render meaning out of (once again i'm reading way into it). I think your post could either be spot on with its relevancy to including race into one of the elite super heroes today(not race as in kryptonian, b/c thats not real as of yet) or its the writer watching hitchhikers while writing this comic and deciding that "42" is the ultimate answer (b/c it is)

I do keep a framed spider-man print up in my room, but some of the women I go for aren't always that into comics...and that's cool with me.
